Malaysia Australia Colombo Plan Commemoration (MACC) Scholarships

Level: Postgraduate ( Coursework + Research ) ,  Ph.D.
Value Detail: This scholarship will provide financial support to Malaysian students who commence a postgraduate program in 2018.

For Masters by Coursework programs the scholarship is available as a single payment of AUD$10,000 towards your tuition fees.

For Masters by Research or PhD programs the scholarship is available to cover full tuition fees, RTP equivalent living allowance and overseas student health cover (OSHC) for the standard duration of the program.

International Tuition Fee Scholarships

RMIT offers two international tuition fee scholarships: the RTP International Fee Offset Scholarship (RIFOS) and the RMIT Research International Tuition Fee Scholarship (RRITFS).

RIFOS scholarships are funded by the Australian Government and RRITFS scholarships are funded by RMIT University. When you apply for a research scholarship through one of the University’s rounds, you will automatically be considered for all the scholarships for which you are eligible.

Both RIFOS and RRITFS scholarships provide tuition fees for a period of 3 years, with the possibility of a 6 month extension.

Vice Chancellor's PhD Scholarship

Level: Ph.D.
Value Detail: Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and research potential to local and international candidates undertaking a research doctoral degree.

The VCPS provides the following benefits to recipients:

  • a stipend of $42,384.50 per annum pro rata (full-time study) which represents a generous RMIT top up of approximately $15,000 above the RTP rate
  • a research support allowance of $5,000 per annum to support research activities
  • a HDR publication award of $10,000 (payable on thesis submission). Candidates must submit their thesis within three and a half years (or equivalent part-time) to be eligible for award
  • a relocation allowance for the cost of relocating in order to take up their postgraduate research program, up to $515 per adult and $255 per child to a maximum of $1,540
  • paid sick, maternity and parenting leave (within the limits of the Scholarship Terms and Conditions)
